Carton Printing UV Ink
UV Ink for Flexo Printing is a high-reactivity UV-curable ink designed for high-speed flexographic printing systems used in packaging, labeling, and film conversion industries. It cures instantly under UV/LED UV exposure, forming a dense cross-linked polymer layer with strong adhesion, abrasion resistance, and chemical stability.

Product Introduction
Substrate Compatibility
UV carton ink is formulated for both coated and uncoated paperboard systems:
Folding carton board (FBB / SBS)
White coated paperboard
Kraft corrugated cardboard (E-flute, B-flute, C-flute)
Laminated paperboard structures
UV pre-coated carton surfaces
For uncoated kraft board, ink penetration balance must be optimized to avoid fiber lifting or over-absorption.

FAQ:
Why does UV carton ink show poor adhesion on coated paperboard?
A: Adhesion failure on coated carton board is usually caused by surface energy mismatch or insufficient UV curing:
Coating layer too smooth (low surface energy < 38 dynes/cm)
Excess ink film thickness preventing full cross-linking
UV lamp intensity not sufficient for dense pigment layers
To improve adhesion, surface roughening, corona treatment, or UV primer coating is recommended.
Can UV carton ink be used in high-speed folding carton production lines?
Yes. Optimized UV carton ink systems can run on high-speed production lines up to 150–200 m/min.
However, stable performance depends on:
High UV energy output (≥ 120 W/cm)
Proper anilox/ink film control
Controlled substrate temperature during printing
Without proper curing balance, surface tack or blocking may occur during stacking.
