Is this ink suitable for printing on thin or specialty papers (such as tissue paper and rice paper)? Will it damage the paper?
Yes, it is, and it won't damage the paper. Our formula is exceptionally gentle on paper fibers and contains no corrosive ingredients found in solvent-based inks. This prevents thin papers (such as tissue paper and rice paper) from warping, wrinkling, or tearing after ink absorption. When printing on specialty papers (such as textured rice paper and handmade paper), the ink will penetrate along the paper's grain, preserving the paper's original texture while ensuring uniform color without smudging. This makes it ideal for creative handmade products or high-end packaging.
Is the ink waterproof after drying? Will printed paper bags or food boxes discolor when exposed to water?
After drying, the ink is slightly water-resistant and can withstand daily light splashes (such as raindrops on shopping bags), but prolonged immersion is not recommended. For enhanced waterproofing (such as for outdoor promotional materials or disposable food boxes), an additional coat of water-based waterproofing agent can be applied after the print has dried (we also offer matching waterproofing products).
