Due to water as a solvent carrier, water-based ink has significant environmental safety characteristics: safe, non-toxic, non-combustible, non-explosive, almost no volatile organic gas production, mainly manifested in the following three aspects.
1. Do not pollute the environment
VOC(volatile organic gases) is recognized as one of the main sources of global air pollution. Solvent based ink will emit a large number of low concentration VOC, because water-based ink is used as a solvent carrier. So it emits almost no volatile organic gases (VOC) into the atmosphere, either during its production or when it is used for printing.
2. Reduce residual poisons
Ensure food hygiene and safety. Water-based ink completely solves the problem of toxicity of solvent - based ink. Because it does not contain organic solvent, the residual toxic substances on the surface of printed matter are greatly reduced.
3. Reduce consumption and cost
Due to the inherent characteristics of water - based ink - homogeneity content is higher. Can be deposited in thinner ink film. So relative to solvent-based ink. Its coating amount (the amount of ink consumed per unit of printing area) is less.
