Ink For Offset Printing

Ink For Offset Printing

Offset ink has good rheological properties, which can be smoothly transmitted and transferred in the ink roller system of the printing press, ensuring that the ink is evenly coated on the printing plate. It also has appropriate viscosity and dryness. Viscosity ensures that the ink can be transferred from the printing plate to the rubber cloth during the printing process, and then accurately transferred to the substrate, while dryness determines whether the ink can dry in a suitable time after printing to prevent the printed product from being smeared.

Product Introduction

Main ingredients: Offset ink is usually composed of pigments, binders, fillers and additives. Pigments give ink color and determine the color performance of printed products; binders are the main components of ink, which evenly disperse solid components such as pigments and transfer ink to the substrate during the printing process, forming a firm ink film after drying; fillers mainly play a filling role and can adjust certain physical properties of ink, such as reducing costs and adjusting ink consistency; additives are used to improve various properties of ink, such as drying speed, fluidity, glossiness, etc.

Offset ink production process

Pigment: Select materials according to the color and performance of the ink, and strictly test the hue, purity, fineness, etc.
Binder: Made of resin, solvent, and additives, heat and stir to dissolve the resin, and add agents to adjust the performance.
Fillers and additives: Prepare fillers such as calcium carbonate and additives such as desiccants and test them.

Ingredients: Design the formula according to the purpose and performance requirements of the ink, and weigh each raw material with high precision.

Pre-dispersion: Preliminary mixing of pigments, part of the binder and additives at high speed, test and adjust the fineness and viscosity.
Grinding and dispersion: Select equipment such as a three-roll grinder, grind the premix, strictly control parameters such as temperature and time, and measure the fineness regularly until it meets the standard.

Ink adjustment: Adjust the ink viscosity, drying speed and other properties, and compare with the standard color sample to correct the color.
Filtration packaging: Filter and remove impurities with a filter, fill with an automatic filling machine, and mark product information.

Quality inspection: Test conventional properties such as color and fineness, simulate printing to test the suitability of dot reproduction, etc.
